This textile was woven by an artisan from the lakeside village of Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. It was woven using a back-strap loom, a time honored method of weaving. This traditional pattern represents Santiago Atitlan’s woven stripe and was made in partnership with a non-profit organization on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
