Copenhagen Travel Guide

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

This was our third time to one of our favorite cities in the world. We got to visit some new spots and revisit our longtime favorites, like the Louisiana Museum, which in our opinion is the most beautiful museum ever.

TO SEE

Louisiana Museum - #1 favorite site. This beautiful museum of contemporary and modern art has great exhibits and is housed on the most gorgeous mid century building on the sea.

Design Museum Denmark - Another must for design lovers.

Assistens Cemetery - This beautiful lush cemetery houses the grave of Hans Christian Anderson, and is steps away from Jaegersborggade, a nice shopping street.

Nyboder  - Historic orange/yellow row houses built in the 1700s currently used as military housing. A striking collection of structures.

SHOPS

HAY House- Scandinavian home decor. with a very cool two story shop in the center of the city.

Illums Bolighus - Scandinavian home goods department store.

Mr. Larkin- I love the dresses in this shop from Texas clothing designer based in Copenhagen.

The Apartment - beautiful and eclectic home store that definitely enjoys color as much as we do.

  EAT & DRINK

Don’t forget to try the traditional brown rye bread if you like super hearty loaves.

Hart Bageri - Exceptional pastries.

Anderssen & Maillard - More exceptional pastries, plus coffee.

Mikkeller - My favorite ultra creative danish brewery has locations all around Copenhagen. We loved the ramen bar but would have tried all of their locations if we had time.

Roxie - Modern, nordic cuisine, perfect for a nice dinner date.
