Jaspe Basura Pillow - Indigo 20"x 20"
This textile was woven by an artisan from the village of Totonicapan, Guatemala. The pattern represents one of dyed to resemble "jaspe basura"- an old weaving style that involved using scrap threads from the floor of the weaving room, spinning them together and weaving them back together. The technique in no longer in practice, but we have come as close as possible to achieving the same look using hand dyed natural indigo threads.
100% cotton. 20" x 20". Zipper closure. Backed in natural handwoven cream cotton.
Dry clean only.
